How to Win the Willpower Game
We all need to achieve. We want to grow. We love a challenge and the sense of success when we overcome the challenge and come through to the other side.

That’s it. That’s the truth. So why are so many of us ignoring that? We are giving in to temptation; doing things we know aren’t good for us and failing to do things which are; taking the easy path and doing ourselves harm on the way.
Because if you have willpower, you have the ability to do the things you need to do, even when you don’t feel like it: You don’t get distracted from that important project at work by a message on the phone; you choose to step away from the biscuit tin once you’ve had, and enjoyed, one biscuit; you hop on the yoga mat even though you aren’t in the mood.
An excuse is an interesting thing. We use them to hold ourselves back and to prevent us from taking action. Why would we do that?
I believe that Human Beings have incredible potential to achieve anything. Every one of us has the opportunity to grow, contribute, make a difference and to move towards a life that excites and inspires us.
The typical human has around 70,000 thoughts per day (don’t ask me how they worked that out!) – and 95% of them are the same thoughts they had yesterday. And your thoughts shape your actions, so it is really important to look at how we are thinking. Otherwise, we are destined to repeat what we are doing and 2020 will be just like 2019 will be just like 2018 will be…. You get the idea.
